Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting of Bobbington Parish Council held on Wednesday 21 April 2010 at Corbett Primary School at 7.00pm

 

Present:          Councillor T Rees (Chairman)

Councillors: Snelson, Kimbley, Mrs. J Tudor, Mrs. L Jones and Homer.

Victoria Morris (Clerk to the Council)

Apologies for non-attendance were submitted on behalf of Cllr. Mrs. J Humphries, Karin Hampton and Cllr. Brian Edwards.

 

  1. Declarations of Interest:

 

None.

 

  1. Minutes:

 

The minutes of the last Annual Parish Meeting had previously been approved and signed.

 

  1. Chairman’s Report

 

To be deferred until the Annual General Meeting.

 

  1. Cornett School Report

 

Cllr. Snelson reported that the annual budget is tight. Insurance costs have increased 1% and pupil numbers nationally are down.

 

  1. Village Hall Report

 

To be deferred until the Annual General Meeting.

 

  1. Holy Cross Church

 

To be deferred until the Annual General Meeting.

 

  1. Any Other Business

 

Royal Oak Public House Car park – It was noted that there was a considerable amount of rubbish and debris around the car park, partly being the remains of the bonfire. It was agreed that Cllr. Mrs. Tudor would speak with the manager.

 

Advertising sign on Halfpenny Green – It was noted that an advertising sign had been placed on the green. Cllr. Snelson confirmed that they were the contractors working at Whittimere Farm, he agreed to speak to the parties concerned.

 

A discussion followed on the viability of combining the AGM and Annual Parish meeting in future years.

 

Date of Next Annual Parish Meeting arranged for 20 April 2011 – (subject to the AGM and annual meetings being combined.)
