MINUTES of the Annual General Meeting of BOBBINGTON Parish Council held on Wednesday 15 May 2019 at 7:30pm at Bobbington Village Hall.

Councillors: A Burton, S Hadgett, Mrs. I Rees, M Slater, M Snelson and Cllr. Mrs. J Stanton

• Apologies

There were no apologies for non-attendance.

• Election of Chairman and Declaration of Acceptance of Office

Councillor Mrs. Jones was proposed by Cllr. Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Cllr. Snelson. There being no further nominations, Councillor Mrs. Jones was elected.

• Welcome to new Councillors

Following the recent election, the Chairman congratulated the Councillors on their appointments and welcomed them to the Parish Council.

• Signing of Councillor Acceptance of Office Declarations

All Councillors declared their acceptance of office and signed the relevant paperwork.

• Election of Vice -Chairman and Declaration of Acceptance of Office

Cllr. M Snelson was proposed by Cllr. Mrs Rees and seconded by Cllr. Burton.

• To receive Declarations of interest and dispensation requests in accordance with the local Government Act 2000

There were no declarations of interest.

• Minutes:

RESOLVED that the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting of Bobbington Parish Council held on 16 May 2018, a copy having previously been circulated to each member of the Council, be approved and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

• Election of members to outside bodies / committees / working groups

1. • Cheque Signatories

Proposed as Cllr. Mrs. Jones, Cllr. Mrs Stanton and Cllr M Snelson.

1. • Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport Consultative Committee

Cllr. Mrs. Rees was proposed by Cllr Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Cllr. M Snelson.

1. • Village Hall Committee

Cllr. Mrs Rees proposed Cllr. Mrs Stanton, this was seconded by Cllr. M Snelson.

1. • Corbett School

Cllr. M Snelson proposed Cllr. Burton this was seconded by Cllr. Mrs. J Stanton.

1. • Trustee of the Enville Charity

It was agreed Cllr. M Snelson would be elected and liaise with Mr W Snelson, a Trustee of the Charity.

1. • Responsible Financial Officer

Clerk agreed to continue

1. • Internal Auditor

Mr Alan Dudley has agreed to be the internal auditor for 2018-19. 2019-2020 to be considered in due course.

1. • Tree Warden

Cllr. Snelson proposed Cllr. Slater, this was seconded by Cllr. Mrs Rees.

1. • Health Authority Representative

It was agreed that this role had been dormant for the last couple of years, as such, it was agreed it should be discontinued.

1. • Police Authority Representative

Cllr. S Hadgett was proposed by Cllr. Mrs Stanton and seconded by Cllr. Mrs. Rees.

1. • Community Speed Watch Representative

Cllr Burton was proposed by Cllr M Snelson and seconded by Cllr Hadgett.

1. • Facebook administration

The Clerk agreed to continue. Cllr. M Snelson agreed to support – in particular with monitoring comments made by the public.

• WAAG update

Chairman – David Giddings.

• Date of next Annual General Meeting arranged for 20 May 2020.
